HO HO HO

Sweet-01.jpg

Hiya! Now that Thanksgving is over, it’s officially Christmas time! That happened fast. I have seen on the internets that a lot of people have put up their decorations early because this year has been a particularly tough one. I totally get that. I didn’t put my decorations up early but I have been listening to Christmas music. I wanted to try a sweater illustration technique for my Christmas card design and at the last minute I decided to go with a different idea so I thought I would make it for the blog. I hope you like it.

A TO D

A-D-01.jpg

Hiya! I hope you all had a great week. I am so excited that the 36 days of type has started. I find this project sooooooo much fun! Follow me on Instagram so you can see them posted daily. I did one thing differently then in previous years. I am using the same color palette for all the letters. My thought for this is that since this is a daily project I wanted to shave off a little time on each letter by not having to sort out which color palette to use each time. So far that seems like a great idea. My second thought was the final alphabet will look more cohesive.

This week I created brush strokes and blobs in two different colors for my shops. It was fun making these and I intend on making a bunch more in different color combinations and with different mediums.

I also wanted to let everyone know that I will be created new posts every two weeks instead of every week.

Here are a few things for you to check out:

1. How the chopstick spread from the East to the West. What a cool video! A few years ago I taught myself how to use chopsticks because I love asian food so much.

2. I’ve been really enjoying the series Our Planet. Highly recommend.

3. Leaving and waving.

4. If toddlers had Facebook. LOL!

5. Recent addition to my Etsy shop. Check out my shop section to see more places to purchase my work.
